HOUSTON (Feb. 2, 2023) – As the operator of nationally televised events that will take place during college basketball’s national championship weekend, Intersport is bringing them all under one roof for the first time when it hosts Hoops House at the Bayou Music Center in downtown Houston.

Hoops House will be the home for basketball fans from across the country, where they will be treated to multiple days of fan-centric events in anticipation of semifinal games on April 1 and the title game on April 3.

A robust weekend of programming is in the works for Hoops House, which will be highlighted two of Intersport’s longstanding nationally televised showcase events– the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, which will air live on ESPN2 on Thursday, March 30, and the High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships, which will take place on Friday, March 31, and air on CBS on Sunday, April 2.

Tickets for the State Farm College Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships and the High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships will go on sale on Feb. 16 and can be purchased by visiting the Hoops House website, www.houstonhoopshouse.com.

Intersport’s full schedule of programming at the Bayou Music Center will be announced in the coming weeks, and regular updates can be found on the Schedule of Events page of the Hoops House website. Fans can also register to receive exclusive ticket presale information for both events and receive Hoops House scheduling updates directly to their inbox by registering for event alerts at www.houstonhoopshouse.com.

“The evolution of these events has inspired us to create what we believe will be the most engaging experience for our participants and fans that we have ever staged,” said Mark Starsiak, vice president of basketball at Intersport, which hosts the events. “These showcase events are synonymous with the most exciting weekend in college basketball and we’re eager to put together an engaging schedule of events at the Bayou Music Center that will serve as a home away from home for basketball fans.”

These events have routinely hosted the future stars of the basketball world, several of which are currently part of the young core of the Houston Rockets. Jabari Smith, the No. 3 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, was part of the High School Slam Dunk & 3-Point Championships in 2021, Jalen Green committed to the 2020 event prior to its cancelation and Kevin Porter Jr. participated in the dunk contest in 2018.
